Wow, sounds like some great news! Hope modders here won't be ripping off people overcharging for a 10 minute flash! Considering the previous software techniques, i don't understand how people fall for it. If you pay more than $15 for a flash, you're getting ripped! I'll still get a couple of x78 chips from Xecuter to test and see which holds up best! Patience is a virtue, and this is where it pays off!

What an ignorant post. After you mod about 1000 consoles you will change your mind about that. Modding and helping others in the scene really does take more time and energy than you would think. Especially after you start having to adjust your personal schedule to accomodate people. Not to mention you take ALL OF THE RISK by offering this service to the public, any of which can be an undercover vice cop looking to make the news (New Jersey modder anyone?)... Another factor, and a big reason I PERSONALLY, raised my prices, was to get rid of people contacting me and emailing back and forth for a week who weren't even really serious about buying the parts and doing the mod...
Bottom line, you can get your console modded by someone else for less than the price of (1) retail game in most cases. I'd say that is WAY beyond fair. If that doesn't seem fair to someone, there is nothing stopping them from reading the exact same tutorials us modders read and trying it themselves. The information is not secret after all. You are paying for a service, peace of mind, to borrow someones time/intellect, and in some cases, someones hardware.
Hate to rant, but posts like this always get me going...
BACK ON TOPIC: This is good news, I have been telling a lot of people lately about the risk of getting the 078 and they have actually not bought 360's because they didn't want to get stuck with one.
