I would guess it is some kind of really hi-tech testing equipment. It was probably used to help develop the chip. I would like to see a picture of the equipment all those leads are coming from. I am sure with whatever it is enables the developer to be able to capture every piece of data that is transfered and analyze it. I did notice the those clip-on leads are made by Hewlett Packard. That might give us a clue as to what testing equipment is being used in the picture.

What is the point of these chips? Why do people bother when you can just flash your drive for free?

I could be wrong...

But isnt it a fail safe, in case MS decides to start checking for modded firmware? Chips would allow you to keep your original firmware intact and untouched I believe.   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Hey at least the prices went down when these chips first came out those criminals wanted close to $50 and almost zero support. Though I doubt I would ever chip, (I feel your running the same risks) I would feel better paying $15 dollars and getting no support and no upgrade than $50 in the same situation. So kudos to these guys..

I want to see the infectus chip hooked up to a 360 and a PS2 at the same time!

I bet there's going to be some kids asking "can this chip let my 360 play ps2 games?"

The device that all those clips are connected to is a logic analyzer.  Agilent and HP make quite a few of them.

I currently have a Toshiba-Samsung drive and I'm wondering which chip is the best to get. I would flash my drive but I don't have SATA and also would like to keep my original firmware intact. I'm leaning towards the All 360 because of the plug/play capability. Does that mean that the games don't need to be patched? The only thing about the All 360 is that the diagram shows like 30 wires that need to be soldered and doesn't have a pic showing the chip already installed.  If not the All 360, which chip would you guys recommend?

Hello Guys,

So does the Mod360 v1.1 do xtreme backups and NME backups beause the diagrams on divneo say at the bottom that the backups need to be NME while the description says that it can boot both fine. Just wondering if anyone can get a straight answer and how is the chip in general.
