Many new Xbox 360 DVD Mods have been released lately ... here's an overview of the new ones:

* 'Xeno 360' DVD Patchmod ... already announced previously, we now got a picture of this chip from Hitman43:

Note: The pictures doesn't really match the description/features here ... the flashchip isn't in a socket. I also doubt it'll work with the Hitachi-LG v0078 drive with the pre-flashed FW.

If it can't be used on a Hitachi 0078FK, I have no interest in it at all. In fact, I scrolled through each one, seeing if it would work on the 78.

Actually, I guess the Infectus could work on HL v78 ... if you flash the right FW on it (and key-patching still works fine on it - which is not confirmed atm)
But it's not out yet afaik ... and full flash replacement means a lot of wires to solder ...

I agree with Text, if it ain't support 0078 then don't bother. It's only a matter of time until my Xbox 360 calls it quits and chances of me getting a replacement with a 0078 drive is more than likely.

When Xecuter showed of its Blaster & 78 chip, they said that the chip was in the beginning stages, that it was basically on a napkin 2 days before that announcment...so I would expect to see that ship until 07'. The NME-1.2 should be available soon, which is team underdogs firmware modchip for the 78 drives out there...a week and a half ago they said they were "a few days" away from releasing it...technicaly "few" means three....so they pasted there timetable.

Who ever releases their 78 modchip first...will be the one who gets the vast mojority of sales.
