Ms28 Resistor Question

I removed the resistor i flashed the drive, how ever while removing the resistor i removed the blue trace, but i was able to hook up a switch using the other blue part on the board, and it read to back up the orig, and flashed fine. However i did not reinstall the resistor, can i solder a wire from the red point to the alternate blue point ?
