Some Clarification Please
« on: November 30, 2006, 03:48:00 AM »

I have a Samsung MS25 flashed with 4.0a firmware, with the imminent arrival of the 5.x firmware I will want to reflash.

Am I correct in thinking that my drive is now an MS28 and therefore I need to get a VIA SATA card, or will I be able to reflash with my nforce4 board (the one I used for the ms25 flash)?

I had tried previously to reflash using the enable0800 disk burnt to a DL disk, but I didn't have much luck, is that due to the drive being an ms28 and incompatible with my chipset, or did the disk not burn properly?

Did you try reading the readme that came with the firmware.

No you don't need via sata card. You only need enable0800 disc.
It's nothing to do with ms25 or ms28(4.2x)
