im thinking about just getting the connectivity kit instead of trying to figure out my other problem. my question is, do i need an nForce 4 motherboard if i get the connectivity kit? thanx.

Shouldn't matter, will pretty much work with anything. I had a lot of the same trouble you mentioned in your eariler post and after getting the Connectivity Kit, it work the first time. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

i hva e the hitachi drive r32 the problem im having is that the drive cant see the files just  the video files. i know my way around xbox but the 360 wow its been a awhile and i wanted to mod mine now. and went along and bought the con kit for the hitachi drive. i have flashed the drive with  some stuff i got online. just wondering if theres been an update or if anyone can point in the right direction...oh i have rom ver 46 and im using this flash Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth Revision 2").                                                                                             THNAKS

the 32ce??   this drive requires desoldering the tsop reprogramming with the 40 fw and resoldering, as there is currently no software method to get it playing anything more than xbox1 games
