Well. Recently I've found out about the bender mameox and decided to try it out on my xbox but I have a couple of questions that I couldn't find the answers to on this forum so I figure I ask.



After I finish downloading the BenderMameOx 01.21.2005 -Fixed Version-. I unzip and notice theres another zip file inside called bmameox_src.21.01.2005.zip. do I have to unzip that one also before ftping it into my xbox? if so. where do I put the files after unzipping?


What do I need to do before ftping the bendermame into the xbox? can I have mameox v0.84.b3 in the there also? or do I have to delete mameox v0.84.b3? if I have to delete mameox. can bendermamox run the exact same roms ask mameox v0.84.b3 did before?


whats the differance between mameox v0.84.b3, mamedox and bendermameox???


If anyone can help me out I'll be greatly appreciated!!!

thats the source code. you dont need to unzip it, unless you want to code.

yeah, you have to delete the old mameox save directory

it will emulate more roms than mameox. mslug4 and 5

it all began with mameox. bender and britneysPAIRS inserted some more drivers.
and now britneysPAIRS and other great devs are finishing up bendermameox with the great mamedox release. mamedox is still wip.

thank you very much for the quick reply! where is this mameox save directory at? if I just delete the entire mamox directory would that be enough?

Everythings correct, but I just wanted to clear something up. BritneysPAIRS is not working on the code at all. He's working on the support files (configs/cheats/hiscores) and without him we wouldn't have the great MAMEdOX skin, but as far as coding goes, there's only 2 'devs'. HK$ and I work on the code updates.

As for the mameox save directory, you'll find that in e:\tdata\4d414d45
MAMEdOX uses 4d414d46 as default though, so if you wish, you can have mameox and mamedox running side by side.

MAMEdOX 1.0 has now been submitted to Iriez for hosting on xbins.

Yes, pretty much.  The Bender version and now MAMEdoX added more games and made various tweaks to the UI (etc...), but they didn't change the playability of the games that were already playable in v84b3.

Ebsy is the coder (final coder has some help) give him credit, if he likes it, it goes in and he makes sure it all works perfect ............... all I do is get everyone talking if possible all info and skills exsist now if people work together. I just bring all the stuff from various sources together and offer them basically to ebsy who puts code and makes the dreams come true



By the way Ebsy took over where benderMike left he was really the starter of this but Ebsy build is far better than any other version released if used to full potential.

Cheers guys would still love Tmaul to help a little with patchs to make this even better

Can some one help me i have xbox v1.0, unleashx, 250gb drive and when mamedox run it crashes straight after the entry screen after pressing any keypad button. This also happened with bendermameox, i have removed the save files for both bendermameox and mamedox.

Dont sure what else to try, did anyone else have this problem with getting mamedox to run first time.

I have tried running the emulator with and without roms.

When mamedox runs it does create, the save directory and the system folder.
i.e. /E/TDATA/4d414d46/
