4 Options In Mtkflash Which One?
« on: November 23, 2006, 11:48:00 PM »

i have tried using both an unmodified and modified version of mtkflash.

In the unmodified version i am presented with 2 options for the drive to select.
1. NV nForce3 Pri Master
2. NV nForce3 Pri Slave

In the modifed version i am presented with
1. XTREME Pri Master
2. XTREME Pri Slave
3. NV nForce3 Pri Master
4. NV nForce3 Pri Slave

Someone else has modded the firmware to xtreme v3.0. It seems logical to me i would select the modified mtkflash option 1.
1. XTREME Pri Master

as this is the firmware on it? Why would it also show the NV if nothing is connected to them?

the options are exactly that just options, It's asking you which one you have it connected it to so you just select the one you have connected the drive to, the Xtreme name that comes up is not telling you that it has found a drive with xtreme on it, it's just saying xtreme because I'm guessing you used the xtreme boot maker and it edits the card details on mtkflash to show up as that, you want to plug the 360 into the Xtreme Pri master this would be the chipset/sata that you selected when you did xtreme bootmaker

ok thanks for clearing that up.

The only SATA ports MTKFLASH would work on were the ones i connected it to so im pretty sure it worked. Is there any app that read back the current fw version so i can double check?
