Final word on Xbox emulation goes right out the window, huh?

It certianlly appears that way doesnt it?

Smartass = )

As soon as there is a public release i'll edit the thread. Until then we can do without assumptions.

Secondly, there are plenty of games on PS2 that are good and only on PS2

Name them. Aside from oustanding first party titles like the Jak series, the Rachet and Clank series, Twisted Metal Black, Mark of the Kri, War of the Monsters, and the Sly Cooper series, there really isn't much else of interest.

I havent kept up at all with PC emulators since N64 Emu's were the thing.

It seems to have quite a nice compatibility list: http://www.emutalk.n...ead.php?t=20609

We'll see how it runs on the Xbox, I have a feeling it'll need VERY optimised code...

I dont know why i sold my dreamcast. or maybe i  do. i sold it and bought a xbox for the money later that day. But i dont know why i sold the dreamcast i got for free from some dude afterwards.

It would be great being able to play Rival Schools 2 on my xbox.

as far as i know MAME can't handle that game

With a framerate of 20 I would be on cloud nine!  Shenmue "running" on xbox could mean at an acceptable speed.  I bet they really had to tweak the emu, disable stereo, cut some graphics maybe... well sounds nice anyways.~!

I don't see the point in running DreamSNES or NesterDC on a DC emulator for XBOX, when you could just run xSNES9x or FCEU Nes, but then again maybe NesterDC had an option that FCEU doesn't.

Eitherway, if they can support IMAGEs of DC games (ala PSXbox's BIN/CUE) that'd be great.  Just showing this as a "WIP" or "Proof of Concept" is great... even if the emulator isn't playable...

but who am I to jinx the project, awesome..awesome

this is a good topic for all you assholes who said it couldnt be done

I would like to point out that this is the exact type of comments that i will prevent from appearing in this forum.

No one likes a 'i told you so' attitude, so you can go back to your 7th grade science homework.

I dont want to turn this into an I told you so, I'm not that big an ass, but just wanted to say its nice to have people who wont give up working on something they think they could do -- even if a lot of people wont take the idea seriously.  The emu scene would probably never have progressed as much as it has today.  It gives me warm fuzzies to see people hard at work doing things that are claimed to be impossible smile.gif

The first week that it was released lantus told me that a xbox port was likely to become a reality.

I however, being the logical person that i am, assumed that it would not be anytime in the near future. To let the whole public know that it was possible would be asking for a million lamers to spam the DC forums begging for a xbox port. Thats something i would prefer to not exist.

We dont need another Pete's psx plugin situation.
