The original doesn't work but a backup of it will as far as I know

Yep, workaround appears to be to use a backup copy, and keep the original as a master.

Are you sure you are using the v2.3 firmware?

As v2.2 or lower GOW original does NOT work

But v2.3 - GOW original DOES work.

I have personally tested this myself, with both the normal GOW and the collector's version.

cool maybe i got 2.2 and i think i got 2.3 then lol. i updated so many to 2.3 lately i cant remember if i did mine hehe

garyopa 2.3, GOW original working just fine on fall updated launch system oct/05, hitachi 47dj, also fine on sytem may/06 59 firmware(non live updated)
