It's good to hear you guys with the 0078 FK are in the loop now. Great work to all who took part with Maximus!!! Once again you've all out done yourselves. Looks like I was premature with returning mine but as I've said in the past I never have any doubts to what these guys can do. Keep up the good work. Guess now M$ can do away with the "black goo."

Hey guys! I flashed a friends 0078 with this firmware and it was a breese!

Question though: I have an older 47 firmware - can i use the maximus tool to update my firmware with v1.6 without reflashing it back to original - i lost my damn original firmware!!

You can use FW toolbox 3.0 to generate your firmware.

For Hitachi-LG v0078 is there any option , like for the samsung ones to select the speed of dvd drive ? to make less noise and heat?

only samsung has two speed FW,
