Anybody experiencing any problems returning/exchanging after you have removed the MS Warranty sticker? (By method stated above; scratching disks, etc...
If the store doesn't check, could it be possible for MS to come back later after they've received the defective 360, and they realize the sticker has been removed?
Basically, I'm wondering if the store you bought it from accepts the return because the don't open the case to check for the sticker, is there anyway that it could bite you in the butt later on when MS finds out that the sticker is removed. Or will nothing happen?
Has anybody run into any issue like this?
I have an 0078 and would like to get an older one ASAP but my sticker is removed and I'm not sure what exactly will happen.
Thanks.
I didn't have any trouble at all when I returned mine. Mainly because I prepare for situations like this by opening the packaging with exteme care so should the need arise that I need to return it I can neatly put it back in the box the way it came. I've come to find out over the years that goes a long way at some of these stores. If you return one that looks like the box has been ran over by a truck and none of the accessories are in the plastic then I would imagine they will ask you 150 questions and go through the box with a fine tooth comb.........Especially to look to see if the sticker has been removed. Reallly though, I don't think the majority of the workers even know about the sticker. Of course I can only attest to the store where I returned mine but there policies are all pretty much the same. Even if they did mention the MS sticker being tampered with just play dumb about it (same goes with Microsoft). When I returned mine before I even told her the excuse about the DVD's scratching I brought to her attention the fact that I thought someone else had already owned and returned the one I had, even though there was no question it was BRAND new when I bought it. But saying something like that gives you an excuse should they mention the sticker or something else for that matter. If that were to happen you could say something like, "I told you I thought someone else had it before me" and even use that to your advantage for exchanging it because after all, you don't want to pay 400 bucks for one that has been taken apart and returned with a voided warranty. Also as I said in one of my earlier posts, the best chance you have to get a flashable drive (according to my own extensive research which may very well be wrong but worked for me) is to find one with a lot number less than 0620. I can tell you that I live in a big city and have looked in several large electronics stores and have saw very few lot numbers less than 0620 left. I got a lot #0619 with a TS-H943A ms25 drive dated 5-01-06 when I exchanged my 78FK about 2 weeks ago. Also, if you can pull back that tab on the box to see the date of manufacture to be safe I wouldn't buy one dated after May 1, 06 regardless of the lot number if you have the choice. The last thing I'm gonna say about it is it's also a good idea to scout the store out before you try to exchange yours so you can go right to the one you want. You don't want the person at the service desk waiting 2 hours for you to sort through every box in the store before you finally find a good one to take back up to exchange........You think that might look a little bit suspicious?

? Chances are you're probably only going to get one shot @ this. I'm really not posting this because I support dishonesty or anything else for that matter............I just know how bad it blows to be one of you guys with a 78FK while everyone else is talking about how easy it is to flash there firmware and backup games. Some people have the patience to wait on the new drive firmware. I'm one of those that don't!!!!!!!!!
