Make sure the dump firmware is 256K in size. And if possible try not to flash using a floppy disk. You can boot up using floppy, but when u wanna flash, read it off from the harddisk. Safer and less likely to have a read error.

If you are checking the key using toolbox, try using version 2.0...

Hello. I managed t get it working. I think the black cable going into the DVD drve was loose. Thatnks for all of your help at Xbox-Scene! I wouldn't have flashed this MS28 without you! I have flashed it with 4.2b firmware and it's as quiet as a mouse!!!!!

Ok I read the whole topic but do i really need a mtk based dvd rom connect to my card or i can get that working whitout that cause i got a lg4167b and i dont think it is mtk-based (so i would need to buy a new dvd drive if this is the case)

other thing is that i read the tutorial for 360mod and i think it's form text book and it doesn't said that i need this
