Help With Xbc On A Samsung Sh-d162c Kreon V.81
« on: November 09, 2006, 04:17:00 PM »

I keep getting the error sector error at partition when trying to backup a game,  it gets through the security sectors just fine and gets about 6.5% done and prompts me as to if I want to write 0's to the empty sectors.  This is GRAW.  Anyone know what to do?

Tried that too,  gave me the same error. I've played the disk so I know that the disk is good.  Any other ideas guys?  It gives me the option to write 0's to the empty sectors with xbc but not with schrom.  With schrom it says this error is common with xbox 1 games but not 360 games.

It is on cable select along with my dvd burner.  I would think that if that were the problem i couldn't get other games to work.  I've done 3 so far and the other 3 work perfectly, 100% no errors it's just GRAW.  last night I set it to write 0's to all empty spaces (an option in xbc) and it didn't complete after running ALL NIGHT.  So something is not right.  Would the changing the drives to master and slave make any difference?

I have done back ups with my Samsung sh-d162c flashed with Kreon V.081 without any problems. It is also configured as slave on my secondary ide port. I wonder if you might be stuck with a borked drive !!

I've done games before and after,  it is just this one game for some reason.  I dont think it is the drive.  I'm going to do some more tonight and see if i get any more errors.

same here i have 162c with kreon .81 and have done many reads with no problem except for 1 dvd and its from burger king called sneak king it gets about 8.5% in and craps out with LBA errors like there are bad blocks. tried other programs as well and it bombs too. i hope there is no new protection on these dvd. kinda sad you can backup up a game from EA but not from BK
