Xtreme42a Or Xtreme42b ?

Hey there,i flashed my 360 with the xtreme42b so i could play my 360 games recorded in a sony dru 700a in memorex DL but they don't work =/ the xtreme42b is the best to play backups right ??
And btw whats the best combination for xbox 360 backups ??
