Help With My Hitachi 47dj
« on: October 28, 2006, 11:16:00 AM »

Dear people on the xbox-scene forums i need your help.

I have an Xbox 360 with a Hitachi 3120L rom v. 0047DJ
I have dissambled it
I connected it to a SATA cable wich goed into my MSI K8N SLI PLATINUM mobo wich has an NForce4 chipset.
I started up my xbox and booted my PC with the SLAX 2.0 Alpha1 cd, when i got to the prompt login i have
reset my pc and got the SLAX cd out of the drive. It hang while booting up so i opened the 360 drive and XP
  booted up fine.
I looked in my computer and there was the drive with the letter D assigned to it i guess thats the one cause i pulled the sata cable out of my D drive harddisk, didn;t had a spare SATA cable.

And now for the problem, i downloaded the Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_2_Stealth.rar file and the Maximus_garyOPA_2_2_Stealth_RevisedBats.rar. I extracted the first rar file into a folder and then i overwrite the files that were in the second rar file, the revisedbats.rar.

But when i tried to backup the original firmware using this code: PATHTOFOLDER\xbox\FLASH22S.BAT D 1573

it says that there is an extreme file missing... what to do now?

and another question, can i use the Maximus-Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme v2.3 for this 360 drive?

you need to delete your folder with the bats. delete the files you downloaded. go to xbins and downloaded the new garyopa 2.3 package. extract it as it is into a folder. do not extract anything else. just the main package. then you navigate to the folder in cmd prompt. then run the command flash23s.bat driveletter ####

that should work 100%. you got your Drive into modeb so you know how to do it again. you also got your drive to get a drive letter. so its just an issue with your files and your commands that you are typing. if you want just paste your cmd prompt text and we can move from there... but ONLY after you do what i said above.

I tried exactly what you said, i extracted the Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth.rar into a folder on my desktop, when in modeB and in windows i navigated via dos prompt to flash23s.bat D 1234

when i pressed enter it gave me the following message,

Did you downloaded and unrar the package correctly? The reason it reported missing cos the package is missing one/some files. Check if your directory contains, '46flash.exe', '47flash.exe', '59flash.exe', 'memdump.exe', 'getfw.exe', 'patch.exe', 'firm.exe', 'chop.exe', 'qfc.exe', 'fwpack.rar'? Missing any of the files and it will have the error that u had seen ...

Okey people thanks 4 the help i flashed it correctly i think.

Here is how i did it:

1, Download the Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth.rar
2, unRAR the files that are in the X-LG folder to the C: drive
3, open command promp and type C:>FLASH23S.BAT "drive letter" "random 4 digit number"

note: without the "" "" of course wink.gif

and it worked ! jippie ! biggrin.gif

One more question though, i burned a copy of my Splinter Cell: Double Agent (original) on my NEC 3540 dvd burner but its not working, i used a Philips DL DVD+R dvd to burn it on. Is there a problem with my Xbox or could it be my type of dvd i'm using or my DVD burner.?

thanks in advance!

assuming you ripped the game yourself, did you also rip the ss from the disc and insert it into the iso before you burned it? if not, that will explain why it will not boot as you need the ss injected for it to be recognised correctly.

Since it worked for your friend on Verbatim, maybe you should use some Verbatim for youself.

Just as a FYI....the reason it didn't work in the first place is that you were trying to run the .bat file from outside it's home directory.  All the files it executes are referenced from the home directory....and since you were executing it from a different directory...it couldn't find those files.  If you had just changed to the directory that the .bat file was in, it would have worked.
