Maximus released a new version of the GaryOPA Xtreme Firmware package for the Hitachi-LG Xbox 360 DVD drives.

What's new/fixed:
* Change booting order to counter-attack the fake ss that appears to be on some EA games. I have not tried it since here on America we don't have yet any of this games. In the worst case will not harm your box.

Will this version work for a 58DJ Hitachi?
Version 2.2 won't load original games and continues to read on the 58DJ

I have a Hitachi-LG and it won't even play the original copy on my 360 flashed with the older firmware. I was beginning the think there was something wrong with my drive for a minute. Thanks for the release.

like i had the restore bat to my drive then i had to restore my drive and now its gone .. what am i gona do now since i want to flash my drive.. and is it ABOUSELTY NESSCIARY to flash to orginial drive?

I was booting Tiger Woods 07 just fine, this was not on the NTSC release? I noticed how he said something about he was in American and we hadn't experienced it yet.

I am new to the FW scene, I need to restore my drive and then flash it with this new FW?

Does anyone think this will help with media recognition? I have burned 100% working backups with a NEC 3520a DVD burner and Verbs for my Samsung but none will read and will only give the open tray error on my Hitachi? Any Ideas?
