this just made me punch my screen "Yes, it is true - we have almost completed our first Xbox360 modchip!"

It is not even finished product yet and they are months behind the pack.  What a joke!

It's not even a modchip, how can they make that claim. This is a buncha bs, until something comes out that allows homebrew or at least something other than just piracy it won't be a modchip. Why don't these companies work on something real instead of just concentrating on the f'ing firmware. I'm sure there are better and more useful loopholes than the f'ing firmware. The firmware's been done to death, I think it's time to move on biggrin.gif

I really don't flame too much but when you look at this whole thing, it just looks like a scam for the n00bs.  People will buy this because it says "modchip" thinking they can run homebrew and downloaded games.  Unfortunately this takes advantage of the incompetent people.  I don't know who to feel worse for, the people who buy this, or the people who are going this low to scam people.  This shouldn't be on the front page by any means...

At first glance it looks like this would save bricked drives by overriding the chip that is soldered onto the dvd drive.  I know I'm probably way off and I know the firmware hack is already easy so I don't see what this thing is supposed to do.

Like u say mate .... IT does F*** all

C'mon guys, quit being so critical.  If it weren't  for the firmware hacks,  chips like these would be your only choice.  It's nice to know there's more than one way to do something.   Also, I think people are getting confused by the fact that the NME is NOT a firmware hack really,  It doesnt touch the firmware at all.
