Wish we knew if this "open tray" error was firmware related. There would be hope that it could be fixed.
Thanks for the release!

Your fridge must be right next to your pc.

I agree. I've had Xtreme 1.0, 3.0, 3.3, and now 4.0b. After 2 days of getting Xtreme 1.0 (had open tray ALOT at first) on I pot tweaked my drive. Haven't had any problems at all until I upgraded to 3.3. Then I began to get the open tray error alot more. Now I'm at 4.0b and last night played Dead Rising for 2 hours, then cut it off for an hour to do some work around the house, came back and get open tray. I got open tray again for an hour, I probably tried to boot it 20x and didn't work once.
I'm starting to believe Jayqu3 (rubberband fix mod creator) is correct. He says that it seems that the newer firmwares seem to be reading to far out on the disc. It certainly would make sense. I haven't tried the rubberband fix yet, but I'm sure I will be soon. I honestly feel it HAS to have something to do with the newer firmwares, nothing in my setup has changed at all.
