I heard there is a way to unbrick a hitachi drive is that true
and does it mean its a brick it i try and eject the drive but the light in the middle just blinks once.

I had one like yours do the same thing.. I tried everything imaginable.. to no avail.  so I say yes bricked.

next thing... NO there is NO recovery for a hitachi as of yet.    

You "could" possibly send it to someone like Stusy who can remove the chip from the board then reflash it correctly and HOPE that fixes it.    However he is also seeing problems with even reflashing does not help.  It seems to be a power issue or something.

Did you happen to do the 2 wire trick?    if so did you by any chance do it backwards the first time ?   Even once?   common tell the truth...    alot have done it .. yes I have too.

no i dont think i did it backwards if you do it backwards does it mess it up
and can i still get it in modeb with a connectivity kit or something and like get my drive key buy a new drive and reflash it or something

give them a call , cost me £35 for them to repair a bricked Hitachi drive, that included the return postage too
