Tnx for the heads up. Gotta do some lighting mods on mine tonight, so hopefully it will be out and I can update while I'm at it.

Great work c4e  pop.gif

Nice. When did c4eva post that though? It seems a bit co-incidental that MS announced the XBL/xbox.com downtime so soon after, but i'm probably just being paranoid.

Either way, i've waited this long to flash my drive, so i'm staying off XBL till the 19th to ensure MS's little upgrade won't knock flashed 360s off the service.

Cool. Any chance on getting the ''m$ read/unlock'' feature for hitachi drives? Thanks c4eva!

If it defaults to "high-speed but fussy" instead of "low-speed but reliable" I'm going to have to skip this one.  Same reason I'm still using Xtreme 3.1.

Cool I can't wait to see the full feature list. I've been waiting to see what was coming out next before I flashed my 360.

I cant wait for this! finally FULL stealth on both fronts. I hope it does default to the FULL speed.  My samsung has no problem playing full speed w/ 100% with verbs, memorex, and HP media.

bah and i just flashed my 360 2 nights ago. to reflash the drive do you have to load your original firmware then reflash with the new one (xtreme v4)?

Hopefully the firmware is what everybody wanted. Can't wait smile.gif

You do not need to revert back to stock you can just overwrite the key in the file and reflash.  I've done it tons of times.

On a off note.  If you flash with this bios and it is infact true that it blocks reflashing...what happens when another version comes out...can we not reflash it?

c4eva said on #fw there are gonna be 2 versions, one with default high speed and one with default slow speed.
speed can still be changed with original disk.

as far as i remember.

I would wait a good week or so for testing before upgrading anyways.

This feature could be unneccessary M$ would be mad to reflash rom f/w on a game disk updates. Think of the legal problems with bad flashes on a massive scale. There are quiet a number of machines that are are un modded that have the dashboard screwed up after a game update........ who covers this situation M$ or the game manufaturer? All M$ could do is the change the key on the console if it detects a hacked rom. To beat this the rom will need to be original!
