Maximus-Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme v2.2 - Revised Bats
Posted by XanTium | October 9 14:23 EST

Maximus released a .bat fix for Maximus-Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme v2.2 Stealth 8in1:
Quote

Maximus_garyOPA_2_2_Stealth_RevisedBats.rar
Here are Revised bats for the "Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_2_Stealth" package previously released. just copy this bats over the existing ones into your drive.

The previous bats have a bug with errorlevel variable (my mistake, not garyOPA).

NOTE: If you have sucessfully flashed your drive with the 2.2 Stealth package NO NEED TO REFLASH AGAIN SINCE THERE IS NO PROBLEM ON THE FLASHED DRIVE.
For new drives you flash it is better to have this revisted bats to avoid possible  problems (NONE Reported here).

Also if you RE-DOWNLOAD the "Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_2_Stealth" package from the "usual places" will contain the revised bats (Added on 9-Oct-2006).

Official Site: n/a (by Maximus, Garyopa and Geremia)
Download: n/a (could be illegal under DMCA/EUCD)

Im looking for some help on what commands within DOS I should be using when backing-up and flashing my firmware.

I'm abit of a chicken,,,,,, I've ordered the connectivity kit as well as the USB360 to SATA converter for ease of use.

Anyways, I have a Hitachi 47DJ drive and want to know what dos commands to use to:

1. extract the orginal FW, FIRST
2. Then apply the apply to say drive G: for example.

Thanks guys.

With this flash program you only need the one comand promt.

FLASH22S.BAT G 1234

G: Being the example drive letter assigned.

This firmware will NOT flash unless a successful backup has been created.

PS. This program is to be used in windows within a DOS window.

well Mr. Maximus, you are not instilling me with alot of confidence.
the least you could do to take ownership for your mistake is to release the revised package with a new filename/version.

Oh What a drastical measure he he...  dont use any release from this point to the future... since every version would have my Firmware Stealth...

Why new version?  the bug have nothing to do with killing your drive (as other releases from other people have done). It was fixed for prevention and to have the feeling I am doing it on the better way.

Where were you hidden pair of detractors he he ...  go code your own tools instead of bitching the other's work.  Anywayl, I will not sleep tonight for your comment he he.

Mi new version of whatever would contain:
if %systemuser% in("gehx","tom_mandory") then fu%k_their_drives
so beware, dont use it

If they are related to allow you to play backups, yes can be taken as illegal.

Gehx is 100% correct it is another reason not to use any of Maximus releases.

garyOPA knows 100% what he is doing and it is well worth waiting for his stealth release.

"just copy this bats over the existing ones into your drive" does not sound to you as a valid fix, do you want a new 5MB package?

Yes, you can teachme grammar since english is not my mother language, but would be funny that you want to teachme coding he he.  (It is funny to see how when the people does not have any solid point goes to the "spelling issues" argument)

Go wait for whatever you want... It is all you know to do... he he

For the love of God, stop saying he he!  grr.gif

This is why I always wait at least a week when a new version of something comes out from the scene. There's bound to be that tiny little bug somebody missed that screws over somebody.

But really, this should have a different version number. Somebody out there is going to brick their drive still.

Oh what a really strong point you have... how much xboxes, that would make you more smart right? it is so easy to be a copy-paste moron and use other's releases for living,  good for you !!!

Oh and when you get more brain than tongue let us know !!!

As stated on the very first readme... tested MANY times on 46/47/59/59B without failures. 99.99% users have those TESTED versions. Sorry for not testing on the rest of them but I dont have those drives.

This discussion sucks, the point was clarified on the above posts.  So see you

Die FLAMERS! muhaha.gif This is "use at your own risk" I flashed my 47 last night, knowing full well the risk I was taking. You should know, too.

Thanks Maximus/carranzafp for your efforts & your quick repair to the program.
