Is there any way to verify and see if a backup of the original MS28 firmware has my key in it? I've read that even if it is a good backup KDX 1.5 will still report it as FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. Is this right? I'm using x360sam and it creates a hacked firmware based on my orig.bin that KDX will read and tells me that there is a key on there. However it also tells me that it is an MS25 firmware. I really don't want to flash a load of random garbage back to my 360 and cock it up.

Pretty positive xbox360 toolbox will report to you the right dvd key.

Thanks buddy, seems to have worked. It's giving me the same key in the orig.bin and the hacked.bin, gonna run through the x360sam read bit a couple more times and see if it gives me the same key every time before i flash it back.

Good idea .. that is what i did too.. but just so you know you are good to go with that key.
also a good program to replace a key into a firmware also!

Thanks for the advice mate, i'm now the proud owner of an Xtreme 360!!! Plays originals and the backup i made of COD 2 no problems. Awesome!!!
