I just read in eBay that there are XBOX 360 HITACHI-LG DVD replacment drives for the 360.
Did someone know if this is a fake or are the drives real ?
I have here a bricked drive and I would love to repair the brocken Xbox 360.

yeah this is the price.
So the drive will work or did I need to patch it before I install it ?

If you purchase one of these drives you will need your original firmware, once loaded on it will work, if you dont have origanl dvd key from original firmware then buying a speare drive is not an option, If you still have original firmware or key from original firmware then you are fine.

i purchased one of these drives, i have my original 59dj firmware and drive key could some one please explain the steps on how i could get these drives to work, i heard some don't play originals.

They won't read originals, they were designed to run the kiosk disc I think, and that's it.

This could be the very reason why the kiosk disc wasn't protected.

I have talk with few friends and all say not buy when you not have the drive key.
But like I read now even with the key it is not working.
Dame I think I can put my brocken 360 into the trash.

I tested one from Etech4sale (hitachi 46DJ) and it does work, also originals.

Ofcourse you need the key.
