this is no stealth in mode b right?, because on the stealth maker you could have no stealth in mode b and tray open or more.

sorry for this Q if it has already been answered

running restore.bat does it require my original 47DJ FW with key in the folder directory to fully restore drive

Or will it auto restore without the original dumped FW from drive

Just restore it - it doesnt need your backed up fw/key to do so.  Restoring simply removes the sectors that were flashed for the hack in the first place - it doesnt flash any other sectors.

I have a 59B and actually, I flashed my drive last night with 2.1 not knowing that the 2.2 is shortly coming. Yeah, it fails the verification process, which 2.2 fixes, but the drive works fine, I do hear it skip a bit, but besides that no problems. I do use the verbatim media and pioneer 111d and the samsung drive to rip. Since the media stealth still isn't implemented, there's no need for me to update yet, right?

Thanks,
MR

DONT GO RUSHING INTO USING THIS FIRMWARE ON A 46d. I've got a potential bricked drive here.

It seemed to work at first with my backup of Godfather but then it locked up. I got a black screen on reboot and it wouldn't go any further. I disconnected power left it for a few seconds then reconnected power. The 360 now half loads the spinning logo then make a quiet beep and locks up. Does this everytime. If you disconnect the drive it loads normally.

I've flashed back to original again, and first time it booted normally. I then put my original test drive disk in to test it, and i got the quiet beep again from my speakers and it locked up again. It now wont reboot anymore.

I've got some more testing to do, and i will report back if i have any sucess.

Ps. i'm using the new xecuter 360usb connect kit.

this firmware was tested and others have upgraded already with no issues

could be a isolated drive problem

My 46d updated with no issues at all.  Plays all my media fine, originals and backups.  I tested it for several hours last night, different games, etc... no complaints.

Great news! I have never flashed my drive before, but I am considering flashing it now. A few questions though, if you guys can help me: 1. How can I tell what type of Hitachi drive I have? 2: What DVD Burner would you all recommend that is a decent price? 3: Can you please post what DVD Burner and media you are using? Please respond and thanks in advance.

OK an update:

This is getting really weird, i've restored my original firmware with Gary's previous 2.1 and it started up ok (no hard drive attached) and i put in my original tiger 06 disk in. now i switched on the 360 with my media remote everthing went great, tiger boots up normally, now soon as i press the start button on the wireless controller to bind and switch the controller on, the 360 beeps and locks up. Now i get the 3 reds lights on restart.

Very weird...... more testing to be done.

Make sure the rf board is seated properly.. did you mess with it when opening the 360?

WTF! you kidding me!? You played a game burnt with the 3550 and some cheap ass media on the Hitachi?
Anyone else that can confirm this?

Yea....I use and NEC-3550A with Philips and Memorex discs and they work fine with the "Maximus-Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme v2.2 Stealth 8in1". They didn't work with the v2.1 so I had to use Birdy's but now it's fixed and they work fine!!! Thanks for the hard work guys!!!! =)

Thank you Gary Opa & Maximus but it seems that nobody's talking about bitsetting.Mediacheck is a big progress but bitsetting would be nice too.Just a wish no complaint.
I have a bricked 59dj which is going to be reflashed if i find the correct adaptor,i'm still afraid of patching it.I used birdy(i hear you,it's my stupidity.)
