I am having a problem making a back up on a 59dj i flashed it with the 2.2 and still cant get it right I must be doing somthing wrong after the flash i extract the ss.bin file and use isobuster to copy the game over the the hard drive like the read me says then join the two files and burn using cdclone and when i put it in the 360 it says reading for like 30 to 45 seconds then it comes up unrecognized disk  i am using a pioneer 111d with the 1.23 pioneer firmware right off the pioneer website and using verbatim dvd+DL disks does anyone have an idea of what i might be doing wrong i cant find anything about what i may be doing wrong and yes i have read the whole post and searched the forums

Hi All,

Many thanx to Garyopa and Maximus for this wicked release, and Kreon for his firmware

To all who are having trouble backing up with Isobuster :-

It has become widely known how inconsistent this method is.......

Go out and buy a Samsung sh-d162c dvd rom drive and flash it with Kreon's 0.81 firmware. They are easy to buy in the UK, and don't be worried if they are being sold as sh-d162 drives, they are still 'c' drives. Expect to pay around £13-£15

Download latest Xbox Backup Creator - available from the usual places (Redline you the man)

Believe me it's worth it - you never have to open your 360 again, it still functions as a normal dvd rom drive, and it's a one button touch process to backup Originals using the Xbox Backup Creator. Backup takes about 10 to 12 mins. It also automatically sorts out ss.bin etc to produce a fully working stealth ISO after it's finished

Hope this helps

You buy the drive, you put it in your computer, you flash the drive with the kreon fw and then you make backups with the program of your choosing.

All of the information is readily available in this forum/site.

Cool, thanks for the replies people. I have got a Samsung SH-D162c on the way, only cost me $30 Australian and managed to purchase it from an online retailer in my own city. Hopefully ill get it today. Any Aussies out there wanting to buy 1 really cheap, search nintek. They have plenty.  Might try your method Steveie of using wxripper, what’s the chance of one more beer coaster?  smile.gif  I already have 3  biggrin.gif I'll report back if it works.
Peace out.

On some 64bit windows, the system will crash. The QFC and CHOP programs for some reason are not
64bit compatible, you can edit the batch files and change all places with QFC to "FC /B" without the quotes,
and then it should work on a 64bit windows. The next release from us will fix this problem correctly.

Well I'm successfully reporting back after a few hours of ripping and burning that I can create working backups using wxRipper to rip the games.  biggrin.gif  Just followed the process in maximus and garyopa readme to get the ss files and merged them with ss merger. Gonna start backing up those expensive 360 games I have until I receive my Samsung SH-D162c later today, hopefully. Just on a side note quickly, I can’t seem to find the emergency eject hole on my hitachi 47dj, is there even one with this version?  uhh.gif  I had to take the drive cover off to do the disc swap.

I haven't flashed my drive yet and was looking about to see what firmware to flash it with.

It's an Hitachi and everyone says this is the best.

However, people also mention 'Birdys' because of the media patch.

Does this latest Garyopa firmware have such a patch (I know it says it does), but just double checking? Is compatability still good.

I got an HP 840b writer and going to get some Verbatims (but would like to know if I could get anything cheaper).

Thanks.
