Hi,
I have hitachi 47dj. I flashed with OPA hitachi 7in1 2.1 and stealthed with hitachi_stealth.exe and 47flash.exe included in the same packaged. All went OK. But the drive could not read some backups (Outfit). The "supplier" advised to flashed it with Xtreme 1.3 . I restored to original with restore.bat. It Went OK. Then I flashed it with v1.3. It said

ERROR: Hitachi drive build was NOT detected!
WARNING: One of THREE things could be wrong!
#1: Check to see if your drive is in Windows
#2: Make sure you are using the right letter
#3: Your x360 drive is not a working version

So I restarted the xbox and the pc. I got the middle green light flashing and error E65. The windows could detect the drive but couldnot assign a drive letter. I had to "populated" it and reflashed  it without any success regardless whether to original or v13 or v21 with the same error message

I tried to flash manually by editing the batch file  remove all the version checking , only keep the part that flashes v47, copy the x21-xxxx.OPA with only key.bin and was.bin

and guess what I had

When I checked pin 9 of the Hitachi power connector, it was 0v, which is normally for modeB (according to Kev) and the drive was detected in windows.


My questions are:

1. Can the drive be savaged? if so how.
2. If I have to get another drive how can I populate it in the xbox. I see a lot about getting the key of the original drive from orig.bin. OPA 2.1 creates key.bin, was.bin,now.bin,47_21.bin, gdr47.bin. Which one has the key and how to extract it.
3. The instruction for flashing dive into stealth mode mentions about "unstealth" it
" - In case you need to RESTORE to un-stealth version you must restore the
          sectors on inverse order, so first restore 90033000 and then 90005000
     never flash the second sector before flashing sucessfully the first
          one or you will brick the drive (no more windows detection) also ensure
          to restore from a crypted version of your firmware."
but doesn't mention syntax how to do it. Can somebody help ?
4. Before the drive had problem, I tried to copy a backup game using cloneCd, Sony DRU700A, Verbatim DL but the xbox could not read. Can a backup be copied 1:1 without going through ss extraction and compiled?

5. Where can I get the drive in Australia?
