Hitachi V46 - E65 Error
« on: September 28, 2006, 09:07:00 PM »

i tried running a restore.bat on my DVD drive. I used a PCMCIA SATA controller with the SIL 3112 chipset. It detected the DVD drive perfect and everything. When I ran the restore.bat however, it froze the first time. When i tried running it again although most of the steps passed, but it did have errors, saying something about execute denied or something. However when the restore finished running and checked the firmware, it displayed PASS. I reset the Xbox with everything connected back, but when i did the middle green light began flashing really fast and the lower right red light lit up. there was some error screen that told me to contact MS and displayed an E65 error. tray refuses to open, and windows won't pick up the DVD drive anymore.

the firmware i used was the Xtreme v2.1 firmware - Hitachi 7in1

is there any help someone can kindly offer?

thanks a lot

Unless you have your orig.bin or unique key you will have to buy a new 360.

If you do have the orig.bin or unique key you can just buy a new drive.
