i finally got a ms -28 not by choice but i need help flashing ive tried the bad flash recovery but im not sire i understand it to well i power both devices then when it tell me what port to flash i turn off my 360 and wiat 10 second then power back on irhg after i power on i the the port i want to flash, how long do i wait to falsh the 360 after i turn it back on or am i even doing this right?

You dont turn the 360 on until you get to the command prompt.

Also, another person couldn't get that method to work so instead this is what they did:

left 360 off, booted PC to DOS, turned on 360, ran MTKFlash, turn off 360

(all the same thing as normal)

instead of selecting your port then powering on the 360 later, this person turned on the 360 then selected their port like a millisecond after that.  Basically power button and "3" right after that, or whatever port number in MTKFlash.

see i tried that like right afte i powered on i hit 1 and it told me something that the drive wasnt there bascilly and told me to reboot i also heard of the vcc method but i perfer not to do that if i dont have to



so i have to select the port first then power the 360? i mean what is a flash proces form biging to the end for a ms 28 ive been getting mixed tut form varuios peeps

both pc and 360 off, power and video cables connected to 360, with sata hooked up connecting dvd drive to pc

boot the pc into DOS, when you get to the command prompt, then you can turn on your 360

type: mtkflash r /m /sata orig.bin

it will display your ports that have drives it detected

turn off your xbox 360, select your port, wait ten seconds, then power up your 360

yes im using a hexedited mtk

yes im using a hexedited mtk but when i turn off my 360 and select the port i say port:1f0 master/slave0b0 or sumthin to that efect, is this wen its paused

You need a card or motherboard with a VIA Chipset, I don't know of or heard of anyone else that has got the
bad flash method to work on any other chipset.
