« on: September 26, 2006, 10:12:00 PM »

hello i was soldering the wires for the vcc trick and my kid knocked the cord for my soldering iron and lifted up the resistor next to the vcc mod so i solder a trace where the resistor used to be for the vcc but know the one next to the vcc is off wondering do i solder it back down or take it off and put a bit of solder their instead i tried booting it and gave me the e65 error and i didnt get the key for it thanks

Does the the tray still move in and out? If not, the cct is still broken. That's a 22k ohm pull up resistor r409 one end goes to vcc (+5v). The other end goes to pin 31 on the sst chip and we#_flash pin 115 on the mt chip. Look on xboxhacker for detail pix on alternative pad points. U will need to restore this part of the cct for the drive to work again!

That brown resistor is actually a cap C402 a value of 104 and it is only a supply bypass cap. U will need to made sure that the vcc or ground has not been disturbed
