yup futureshop as them the pack " ghost recon" as them all (the 3 i picked up) . bestbuy seem's to have the old gotham racin + 1250 point with hitachi (modable old one)

HI friends

I got my XBOX 360 yesterday Premium pack manufactured June 2006 already flashes and got it from Dubai UAE. I would like to ask one question.

On the box it says for distribution in HK and says DVD region 3. I have 2 games Call of Duty 3 which is working ok and Pro Evoliution Soccer 6 whic is saying this when you try to load game
Wrong region code. so whats the problem??? which region backups my xbox ca boot and this PES 6 is from which region??

No PC hitachi drive out there that uses the same protection in any way ?

I know it's not really needed on a pc, but maybe hitachi had a pc drive which used special flashing routines and a software tool to do it...

Got my 0078 working today thanks to cheekymonkey of consoleworkshop (he deserves a plug)

So if you are in the UK and want your 78 sorting without removing the black goo yourselves I recommend you do the same!

He did as you said, don't know if he does overseas but worth asking, I was a bit dubious about posting my xbox to him (hes over 400 miles away from me) but checked all the posts he had made on here and took the plunge, very happy with the service and quick turnaround.

Seems carranzafp (maximus) has made a software dumping/flashing solution for the 0078 drives but he is selling this solution now here http://articulo.merc...itar-resina-_JM
(its in spanish so just babelfish and convert it)

Well I don't read Spanish, but the comments suggest people who question the validity of the method. It also sounds to me that you must use Slax to dump the firmware, but in the video he dumps it in Windows. Or perhaps it was Mode B.

I am not sure sure about it. Anyway, anybody who charges for something like this deserves to goto hell

Pesos, I believe.

229.35 American dollars.

We shouldn't pay ANYTHING though, not even $30, without the security of media stealth.

Without that, the $$ could be WORTHLESS at any moment, when highly-possible DVD-R checks are implimented into games.

The day we have to pay for a firmware, I damn well better be protected with media stealth AND fw stealth AND be safe against all reasonably-achievable "detections".

you have a good point but i am one of those who beleive if microsoft could do somthing they would have allready i bet the next thing is there will be a charge for the new sammy firmware that reads single layer discs
