I guarantee they'll stfu and let you shop.

I'm glad you got a Samsung, though. I decided not to go back up to my Best Buy today to find a Sammy since this new 78 flasher will be out soon and also because I am very doubtful they would have any others. I knew I could have shopped around different stores today but all this retarded traffic and idiots in stores because of the holidays pisses me off.

You can't download it.

Maximus seems to be fixing it though, which is excellent.

But 200, or using a shop, is kind of expensive without excellent security.

that realese was only for read and dump of firmware code was removed for flash they have now removed the download so u cnt get it

I have some problems with my 78. I can get it to mode B, using the Slax CD, but when i'm going to insert a movie DVD (wich you have to if you are going to use maximus 360 firmware toolbox) the drive just ejects after a couple of seconds. Anyone else experienced this? What can I do?! Thanks in advance!

When I just flashed mine, I put in one of my backups since I read conflicting reports about DVD's and originals not keeping the tray closed.

Once I had a backup in the drive, though, I had to wait the 20 or so seconds as it says.

This happened to me too but i read somewhere that you have to press the eject button twice to close the drive and then a third time while the drive is still closing, then it wont automatically eject.

yeah i had same problem kept ejecting,i got the ''spinning up disc'' message in slax everytime all i did was put an original 360 in the drive and pressed the eject button twice then once more when it was reading, worked perfect! hats off 2 maximus donation already sent cheers.

I successfully flashed my hitachi 78fk yesterday, using an Asus A8N. Drive works perfectly with backups and originals.

I was just wondering if anyone has updated his m$ dashboard either going live or using latest retrocompatibility disc, and if it's dangerous or not since this firmware should not be stealth...

Can someone help me out plz?

Works a treat using a DFI Sli-DR Board (Nforce4) though slax2 was a bit fussy and didnt get to login but got far enough to drop the 78fk into modeB.

The actual flashing is a doddle and it is sooo nice to have the security of getting the drive key BEFORE getting to a point of no return.

Nice work all those who invested time and money in it.
