« on: September 25, 2006, 11:01:00 AM »

hi ive been trying to update the firmware on a hitatchi 47 dvd rom using OPA-XTREME-HITACHI-7IN1-V2_1
and i keep getting the error that there is a missing xtreme file!
i think this may be the bios file but im not sure so im just looking for some comfirmation before i go and brick this xbox!
if it is the bios thats missing what is the latest bios for me to use and what should i name it to before i add it to OPA-XTREME-HITACHI-7IN1-V2_1 directory

many thanks Ben

I agree. Re-Download OPA-XTREME-HITACHI-7IN1-V2_1 . Restore the original fimware. Then update.

again i got the error message

You have to put the all the files into the root of the C drive on your PC. Then run the command and it will flash. Had this problem on my 2nd Hitachi.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

As cerealkillajme says all files shud be in root of C. Command will then be: - c:flash21.bat j 1234

ok the f/ware update was sucsessful however 50% of the time when i put a backup in it the dashboard says "open tray"!!
i thought this had been fixed? or do i need to apply a patch to the bios to stop the dvd rom from timing out?

thanks
