Absolutely...there is a whole section of the forum devoted to Modchip Installers.  Modding the xbox is not illegal, the people who are charged with the crimes that you see on the news are the ones that load up big HDs with games and sell them without the game discs.

And btw installing a chip is perfectly legal as long as it's not already flashed. The chip doesn't contain any copywrite code until it's flashed.

Obviously,  even an idiot (except in your case) would know I was not referring to those sections, and other sentions as well

Good point, that's a good excuse for people who sell chips legally   (which I think its cool), but aside from people who are turning there systems into Linux machines its useless and  most will have to install a hacked bios to do anything.

This website is for hacking the Xbox and lunching home-brew mainly, other wise there would be one section on hacking and the rest on Linux.  We are free to post modding services and even put it on our sig's but when someone asks about making a backup everyone goes down on them, what's funnier is that 90% of the ones screaming pirate are pirates themselves.

All I'm saying is that if we are allowed to help the ones with dashboard, bios, homebrew, xdk apps then why can't we do the same for people asking help with there backups.  Even when try to phrase it so it doesn't sound like they are doing something bad, there is always some idiot like jameswalter who say dumb comments like stop pirating.

(Somehow this part of the thread got deleted...but looking at quotes you can see most of it)  I was not the one who brought the backup of a backup issue into play, I just showed where the rules stating this are since he said he didn't see them.  I also never brought to issue a right vs. wrong, illegal vs. legal debate....I simply stated that downloading of PFI/DMI files is illegal (due to digital disc copyrights) and that XS forbids the discussion of it.  

chalosf eat a dick.  At least when I post in a thread it is for a reason, even if it is to simply point out the rules of the board.  If the poster decides to attack me after a simple post like that, then fuck em.

Really.....cause I don't see a single helpful comment in any of the 4 or 5 that I read in this thread.  Just bashing of people that you know nothing about.  If you really wanted to help him out....try convincing him to post in a manner that is more rules friendly...he will get more help that way.
