Did you use the /sata switch?
What sata chipset do you have?
Did you edit mtkflash?

Give us some more info, tell us what your configuration looks like ..

The /sata switch can help with sata detection from within mtkflash, exact details I don't know .. use it like so:

mtkflash r /m /sata orig.bin

Futhermore you may need to hexedit mtkflash so that it recognizes you sata controller and knows how to use it. Basically you need to add a deviceid to it ..

Although, there is a new formatter out there that patches mtkflash for you based on your sata controller, I highly recommend using it before editing it manually.

good luck
