« on: September 18, 2006, 05:30:00 PM »

CODE
------------------------------------------------------
Xtreme Boot Maker (.NET)

Version: 0.2.2
--------------
Released: 19/09/2006
--------------
Programmer: Klutsh
--------------
License: Freeware
--------------
Copyright Notes:

The Xtreme firmware is not included, you must obtain this yourself.

This software may be freely redistributed so long as it is left unaltered,
unless given permission by Klutsh.

------------------------------------------------------

*DISCLAIMER:  ANY USE OF THIS PROGRAM IS YOUR OWN RISK*

Xtreme Boot Maker is a simple program that will prepare a floppy or USB drive
for use with X360SAM.

- Auto-detects your SATA/RAID controller and hex-edits MTKFlash
custom for your chipset (takes a minute to find the values)
- Formats the floppy/usb and copies all necessary files over
- Uses X360SAM 0.4
- MD5 checker when selecting your firmware lets you know your firmware is legit
- Renames the firmware you load to xtreme.bin and uses the right SAMREAD .bat
file (edited to look for xtreme.bin)
- Will work with all existing Xtreme fw's and future releases (I Hope)

This program contains no firmware or patches.

You may link to this publicly and redistribute it freely.

!!NOTE:
BE CAREFUL!  THIS PROGRAM USES A FORMAT COMMAND.  THIS WILL DELETE ALL
FILES ON THE DRIVE LETTER YOU CHOOSE.  IF THERE ARE FILES ON YOUR FLOPPY OR USB
DRIVE YOU WANT TO KEEP, GET THEM OFF THE MEDIA FIRST!  THE FILES WILL BE
DELETED.  DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR DRIVE LETTER BEFORE RUNNNING THE PROGRAM.  NOBODY
WANTS TO ACCIDENTALLY FORMAT THEIR HARD DRIVE!

How to Use:
-----------

(Use Auto Detect Before Opening your Firmware)

1.  Load your floppy disk or connect your USB Flash Drive.
2.  Run Xtreme Boot Maker.exe
3.  Select your SATA Chipset, or Auto Detect
4.  Select your Target Drive
5.  Open your Xtreme Firmware .bin file
6.  Click "Prepare Drive", Wait untill the promt pop up.
7.  Boot from your prepared drive and follow the instructions for using
X360SAM. Read the included Readme for X360SAM in the Drives Root folder.

If you're just releasing this now, you got the date wrong, it would be the 19th, not the 9th.

Never knew there was 19 months  laugh.gif

Note: people in the UK normally write the date in Day/Month/Year format (at least I think)

The date is right, and the program is sweet.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Not sure if this is right:

It simply didn't detect any drives, and therefore the listbox hasn't got any items.
This is the second time an unhandled exception has occured, damn you, get catch some skills! smile.gif

Anyway, post the exception message the next time, not the rest!!!

That depends  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jester.gif)

You need Redistributable Package, for either an x86 based processor, or x64. If you have a 64bit processor chose the last one.

EDIT:

Create a setupproject in your solution already, let it output the assemblies of the remaining projects,
shouldn't take more than a minute..
