I know $70 (shipped) is a lot, but I did the ebay/Australia thing, and the drive works great.  Shipping took about 10 days.

Thank you for telling me that as I was about to order two from that site.  That is wrong though how they trick you my showing a pic of the SH-D162C and it even says it in the middle of the page.  False Advertisment.  Anyways anwhere else I could possibly get it for under $50.00 shipped?  TigerDirect seems to be sold out.

There is another samsung drive which has been succesfully crossflashed to this firmware

TS-H352c

The easiest way to crossflash the drive with the no check option is to open a command prompt and change to the directory where your sfdnwin.exe file is and type in "sfdnwin.exe -nocheck" and hit enter. You should get a message box that pops up that says "-Nocheck Use!!" and you'll have to hit ok to continue.
