How Do I Find Out What Sata Chipset My Bourd Has?
« on: September 02, 2006, 07:21:00 PM »

I have the  Foxconn 945G7MA-8KS2 Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard. I got it from newegg not that long ago but dont have any of the documentation anymore.

how would i go about finding out.

also, if anybody knows what chipset this board has, can you tell me if i'm going to have to edit mtkflash to get it recognized?

thanks

a. Open your case and inspect the board, around the SATA ports there should be a chip with some information on, e.g. VIA6421 or Silicon Image etc.

b. GOOGLE YOUR MOTHERBOARD MODEL NUMBER ARGH

As osirls sez... open her up and use them peepers, should be a chip just like he says (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

If you lucky like me might even have 2 sata chipsets (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
