Basically when the key ends and FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF starts is when you should stop copying.  But 4000-4200 or 4000-4400 will work just fine too.

I still don't get why people push the 4000-4200 thing. I know it works in a lot of cases, but it's no less work then copying 4000-4400, so why not just stick with the instructions given by the guy who actually wrote the firmware hack?

wow, a day later.  thats response time.  but still, i dont want to open my damn box again, its a pain to snap back together.  and as quick as these releases keep comin if i did open it, i might as well leave it open...lol.  anyways keep up the good work.  im gonna wait till friday, and if he hasnt released anything else im upgradin.  thanks to the above testers, hope this does improve load times, as that would be havin the cake and eatn it too.

X360SAM hexedits your drive key from your original firmware backup into the Xtreme firmware.  But, booting into Windows to run it is kind of stupid, as you can run it right from DOS.  And..for anybody wanting to push 4000-4200, don't!  It works on drives before January 2006, that's it.  For drives after that, *most* of the keys were outside of the area, so it's better to use 4000-4400.  This was explained by Sniperkil, and X360SAM actually uses the correct hex range.

Anyway a question to all, I'm running 1.0 and it doesnt seem too bad, I have a HD so I guess there is some caching  thats helping, wondering if anyone has a similar setup and has flsahed to 3.2 and noticed huge improvements, just wondeirng if its worth it.

Yeah, the guy is a star, especially when you consider the rough time he is having at the moment. Great job C4E, it is really appreciated.
