I've never seen so many people cumming in their pants over firmware..

from what I have observed the last 2 releases haven't done much of anything..

I'm sticking with 3.0 until something really comes out that sparks my interest..

Yep, currently backups are the only thing possible. No modding.

Maybe publicly thats true but not privately. it is possible to cheat in a variety of games. Just no one shares the information so they can keep doing what they're doing.

Anyone who has experiemented with game files and rebuilding game data could find out how to cheat in at least 3 games i know of.

How about the fact that your backups load faster. Saving me time is always something of interest for me.

I would call that "much of anything"

Well, you don't have to update, but knocking down C4E's work is pretty hypocritical since you have 3.0 flashed to your drive.  Sure, the updates can get annoying sometimes, but I'd personally have more updates than not.  More choice is always better in my eyes.

I have flashed the new 3.2 Fw and i have to say ive noticed a good improvement on load times and my backup of saints row plays a lot smoother with less draw problems, that were present with the 3.0 FW.

Good work c4eva as always we are grateful for your hard work.

now just for FW stealth.......

Is this currently the best firmware for the Toshiba-Samsung Drive?

Does the 3.2 version mean that I no longer have to bitset/booktype my DVDR DL's to DVD-ROM, or will I still need to do that with this version?

(Are we always likely to have to use DVDR DL's or will it be possible to use standard DVD+/-R's in the future?)

Hmm bit confused with the Stealth Media mode. Does this mean that only the media isn't detectable on Xbox Live? ie is the flashed firmware detectable. Anyone been banned with the 3.2 firmware version?

What is the easiest approach to flashing drives these days since things seem to have moved on a bit since I first looked at things. Is it autoflasher?

Thanks for any help (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

dude, i just flashed my drive with this firmware.. IT IS THE SHIT! it loads backups at full speed, like a normal disk, its amazing, no more slower loading times, like in burnout revenge and long loading games, and oblivion, 3 words, UPDATE UR XBOX!  smile.gif NOTE: it does load  the games at full speed, i think this might be a problem because the xbox is much louder because of the dvds spinning faster, also the drive might fail from being full speed all the time? just saying..  pop.gif

Can someone please verify this:

Xtreme 2.0 had enable0800.iso.  Xtreme 3.0 had activate.iso.  Xtreme 3.1 & 3.2 went back to enable0800.iso.  So does the old 2.0 enable0800 work with the new 3.1 & 3.2?  Or does the activate.iso work with these new releases?  Or neither.  I'm just trying not to waste dual layers for a 250mb file sad.gif .  I would try this myself but I'm still using 3.0.  Many thanks in advance.

To extract the drive key, do I need to copy

a) '$4000 - $4200'
or

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) '$4000 - $4400'?

I've got a guide that says a, but c4e says b.

I don't wanna brick the drive so could someone help me out?

Thanks guys (in advance)

chris

4000-4400 to be on the safe side. Some keys tend to be longer than the 4200 range.

Has anyone used the automatic drive key program that was included in the zip?

I assume so but i was gonna ask before flashing. It seems a good idea to put this in with the firmware to avoid all this confusion over which areas contain the key.

They are all the same exact thing, you only need one copy, it works on all fws.
