has anyone checked the speed on full stealth media? maybe it only works on full stealth, also that guy before that was saying it works well i think he was meaning about the hitachi (tested myself on a friends unit and it is faster)

my dead rising and saints row are full stealth, and both of the originals read and boot much faster then the copys

waah, ive been flashin ic chips for years, wasnt scared at all to flash. i wasnt speakn to you exactly, but if the shoe fits wear it. also it doesnt say anywhere there is a dramatic speed increase, i think the major issue was the stealth applied to non stealth backups and the dvd problem. and yes testing is necessary, and so is feed back, but lets not complain. i think the whole speed thing is retarded anyways, it takes 2 or 3 seconds for me, unless your waitin 5 minutes or somn it shouldnt be that big of a deal.

What DVD problem did it fix? I play DVD movies on my 360 fine with the v1 firmware hack. Im debating on whether to upgrade the firmware or not taking it to my friends, ripping it apart, it's cool but it makes it run slower and as of now I Xboxlive works great. Is it any easier to upgrade my firmware to 3.1 since it is allready hacked?? can someone point me to the easiest tutorial??

Also even with the newest firmware ver do Hitachi's still have trouble reading discs as good as Samsung drives? I know alot of people said they had to like put the dvd in, turn of the xbox 360 then load it up and sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldn't. Is Samsung still the way to go?

No one knows until MS makes an attempt to do something. Based on logic, it would appear that if they choose to do anything about the Xtreme hack, it will come via a media check. Still no one knows until they pull the switch.

Reflashed my samsung from 3.0 to 3.1. I never timed or anything but it does seem to be loading slightly faster on Dead Rising. That's the only game I've played consistently and it seems to read less from the disc and load slightly faster.

Same here, I don't really think 2-3 seconds will do us any harm. I've got 6 Games and the only game I really got sick due to frequent loadings was "Dead Rising" , it loads for every damn cutscene. I haven't yet tried 3.1 , I'm on 3.0 right now, so maybe this new firmware will speed up games like that , we have to wait and see.

Just noticed 3.2 is out aswell. Unable to determine the changes without flashing as the readme.txt is the same as 3.1

tried 3.2... FULL SPEED!

ghost recon now kicks to the ubisoft logo as fast as the original does..
