Another Xbox 360 DVD firmware patchmod, called Xeno-360, that will work on both Toshiba-Samsung and Hitachi-LG drives has been announced:

Seems pretty cool that they lowered the wire count, but I'd still like to see the advantages this offers over just a firmware flash. Yeah....

4 wires.. I could care less if those wires are as small as a pin hole.. 4 wires is simple! It's not really worth getting until MS takes action though. I don't get on Live very often so I'm pretty sure I'll read on Xbox-Scene first about bannings. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

im def getting this chip..... I really don't want to go through opening up my computer and attaching the sata connection back and forth all the time...... I'm excited about the 4 wire soldering.... this should be the greatest chip of them all so far.....

I've seen some of the Xeno chips and they are pretty good. I think this one is gonna beat the Globe360 and NME360 in price, quality and performance.

You upped it a notch in the stealth firmware, two smiley posts.

This is great for the people who can't flash their drives or are too afraid. Personally I would say soldering even 4 wires to those IC legs is more dangerous than a 2-wire trick to get into modeB. To each his own I guess.

4 or 5 wires sounds good.
Having said that the Xecuter homemade one is only about 10 wires and is free!
(well - about £5 for the parts!)

Very sweet! cant wait for this one to come out. flashing or modding a chip. either way is fatal, if were not careful.

I feel more comfortable in a chip.
