i have a version 46 hitachi and i was at command prompt and ran "flash20 d 0020" everything ran well and it told me it was safe to restart the console however now my drive is bricked. i can't get the drive to recognize in windows anymore and i get a flashing red and green light when i try to boot it up. PLEASE HELP! i don't understand why it bricked my drive when everything was ok. I've flashed the drive with 1.3 and the original xtreme before and had no problems. HELP!!!

Same drive, ran the batch per instructed, said it was "100" and ok to shut down. Bricked 46 here too, drive was grounded.

Yay for replacement plan  cool.gif

garyopa I just tried the firmware and it didnt work for me, it didnt brick my drive but it wouldnt boot any disk at all originals or backup I flashed it 2 times and the same thing happend it would take longer for it to go to the dash the the eject button wouldnt work so I flashed it with 1.4 and everything back to normal other then that the SS extraction worked fine.

forgat to add my drive is a 46

Thanks for the report, I will quickly double-check the 46 firmware, maybe a byte got scrambled in the RAR,
I will download it myself, and quickly double-check everything.

If you manually open the tray and start it up again in windows the drive should be able to reflash to
original or v1.3/v1.4 with no problems. I am going to quickly double-check the 46 code right now....

When I try to flash just as written in the instructions (through Command Prompt), I get this error message:

WARNING: A required XTREME file is missing!
NOTE:  Please get the latest release of this
package and unpack ALL the files into
a directory, and rerun this file
VERSION:  "OPA-XTREME-HITACHI-7IN1-V2_0.RAR"

Any suggestions???

You must be in the right directory.

Make sure the command prompt ends with "X-LG".

If not use the CD command to change to the right directory.

i just flashed my 47DJ ,

i have a nf4 board,  dfi lanparty ultra-d

it got stuck on the

Flashing 3/9 sector 90035000 (Security Sector Read)...

i waited almost an hour before i decided to terminate but instead of closing the command window i pressed
ctrl+c , it asked me if i wanted to terminate the batch , i pressed n for no and hit enter ,

thats when it went on with flashing , the rest took only few seconds ,

it works fine with the originals ,

wont read any of my backups made with NEC 3520,

its a good thing i got the 111d on the way ,

thanks gary ,

im so relieved that it didnt brick my drive

oh , and i did get the E64: DVD Drive Error....once , but it went away

It does not fail. Just open your X360, flash your DVD unit, close it and two days after, a new, improved version will hit the streets...
