Got mine sorted now. Unplugged both my SATA drives so just the 360 was connected to the motherboard instead of leaving the second drive plugged in. Also instead of using ctrl-c and ctrl-v to cut and paste in the hex editor i selected cut and paste from the drop down menus at the top only cutting and pasting lines 4000-4200 into the xtreme 3 firmware.

It's not working for me... did what you did but no luck, keep having the same error.

I also checked with KDE1.5 my key and found out that the key in KDE of my original was different than my modified one, but the modified on was the same as the xtreme30.bin. So I changed that aswell, saved it as modified.bin and tried that one, but also no luck.

I've come to the conclusion that my issues are related to the temperature of the xbox.  On cold boots, it loads all the games perfectly fine, but after a while of playing, if I want to switch discs, I have to power down the xbox and let it cool off before trying to read another disc.  This kind of sucks, is there any way to curb the temperature, and is the intercooler worth it?  Would the older firmwares have this problem?

I still dont understand why almost EVERYONE is only editing 4000-4200 to xtreme v3 when it clearly states in the release readme to use 4000-4400.

Im not sure, but I used 4000-4200 on V2 and it worked.  Tried it on V3 and it didn't.  I redid it with 4000-4400 and it al works great now.

i found it easier to grab one of the xtreme 3 kdx versions of the firmware and just use that.  Just did two drives and they both worked fine with that firmware and kdx.

Flashed my drive w/the Xtreme 3.0 firmware (hex edited w/my DVD drive's 4000-4400 key) and it works great.  Just purchased the Team Xecutor ODD adaptor and that was a great help.  Drive plays originals and backups now (just burned a backup of my GRAW disc and it works flawlessly)  Followed the instructions in the readme file exactly, and everything went very well.  Here's hoping that MS can't detect the 3.0 stealth firmware over Live smile.gif  LOL

Thank you very much C4E!!!

I bought the Nyko Intercooler today and it's great. The underside of the xbox used to get extremely warm, but after installing the cooler it isn't any hotter than the rest of the case. It's a little loud, but worth it if you are having over heating problems (which I was, even though the damn 360 is out in the open)

So where it says

Now you will need to copy the following files ( "blank360.iso" "build360.bat" "IMAGE.dvd" ) from your "Xbox 360 Isobuilder" folder to the folder containing "game.iso" and "ss.bin"
So you should now have a folder containing the following files ( "blank360.iso" "build360.bat" "IMAGE.dvd" "game.iso" "ss.bin" ) as shown in figure 4.1 (below)
                                                                                            Figure 4.1 (below)

just add the PFI.bin and DMI.bin File aswell?

I do notice a differnce on how the games load...seems to load slower now for some reason.
