you need to overwrite the 4000-4200 bit in the xtreme firmware. not jut insert the key otherwise youll end up with a larger amount of bytes

Copied and pasted 4000-4400 and worked fine for me.
Wouldnt flash the first time so rebooted pc and 360 then all ok

??weird..Anyways I did as some of you said copied 4000-4200 and it is now working..Reading Originals and Old Backups ...Have not tried the other features yets but can say that it is working for me....

Just got finished updating, and so far everything is great. All my originals and extreme backups work 100%. Thanks!

EDIT: 4000-4400 worked for me also.

It was me being an idiot.....i wasnt naming my files with the .bin extension!!! ( thanks to Andy Hewitt who has helped me out yet again...cheers mate! ).

So does this mean all the backups we have already, created 2 in my case, would have to be remade using this new method in order to be stealth? Because a friend of mine is extremely parionod he will get banned from live and he said he is willing to reburn all his games. To much money for me to do. I pay $2.00 a disc.

Good to see some more advancements with the firmware. That being said, isn't this just going to turn into a cat & mouse game with MS? Meaning that if they really want to see if you are using backups, they can simply check for altered firmware, as that is currently the only way to play backups. Why would they care if you were using backups, but not care that you are using altered firmware? If the answer is that this is the next step in getting totally stealth, wouldn't it just mean that we would have to keep changing the "stealth technology" to avoid the latest means of detection? I just don't see a way that MS wouldn't be able to detect when something is altered, regardless of all the hoops that are jumped through with firmware. That being said, I'm not as smart as the guys making the firmware, and I guess I don't care if MS detected or not as long as they don't make my 360 sit at an error screen one day after a new Live "update".

2. stop telling us you smoke pot.
3. everyone pays at least $2/disc.
4. so that would be $4 total in your case,

if you want stealth, i dont see how anyone who bought 360 cant aford that, unless the pot is making you just totally broke ass

hi all, my drive is jan2006 and i have successfully flashed it with v3.0 using the advice above. all my backups work.

i am i big fan of the wxripper method, will i have to change the way i make backups, or can i still use wxripper.

No need for all of that. Just a simple question. Didnt know my sig offended you so much? Anyways still doesnt answer my main question. Does my friend have to reburn all his games to make them stealth?
