I was able to flash my HP TS-H352C to a SH-DA162C with the alternate v0.6 firmware.
I've been also able to use the modified Schtrom360XtractV1.0 to work with it.  Production of the cloneCD image was created. I have no way to test the image on my xbox360..since it has the original firmware.  Since the C/R isn't working in the v0.6 version, the image would not work anyway.  Waiting for the latest d162c Firmware with C/R.

I used the 0.5 and 0.6 version, i can't get a valid SS with xtreme rip of the game Condemned. I ripped again with wxripper program (swap) and split the file getting the video partition and SS (blank). Join to the VIDEO + SS + XTREME version (ripped with SH-D162C) and then the SS became correct, but this is too much work. I already have the game, i'm only testing this DVD-ROM.
The tutorial says after putting the 360 game in drive it would start in wxripper mode and error skipping enable, well in my case it give me a lot of errors in the beginning of ISO creation, and the info from the DVD tells me it has the error skipping enable, does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

What do you mean by alternate?  Think the TS-H352 is the same as the TS-H352C?   Appears the TS-H352 can be bough reasonably cheap.

Well I just recieved my samsung 162c and flashed the drive no problems. I am try to backup my xbox 1 game 'SX Superstar'. The game inserts as normal comes up as a seven gig disk not just a 14 meg disk which is a start but it seems a little big.
Has anyone else got past this stage on XBOX 1 games??
Do I have to unlock the drive like xbox 360?
When I try to transfer the image I put in the same LBA as an xbox 360 game, not sure if this is correct??
Whilst transfering I get an error reading sector 293632 and cant get by it.

by the way , you can pretty much forget about getting this drive in the US,

the jews bought them all out already and will sell them for $100 a pop on ebay


best bet is to have someone from europe send you one , or just wait till the stores get more of them in stock ,

i think samsung will prabably discontinue the drive if the next firmware extracts the SS without any problems

According to KoRnedbeaf the SH-D162 works fines.  What I do not understand is Kreon said it would not.  I have one on the way so I will verify it.

The drive has been discontinued in the US for months. If you can't find one now, you'll never find one again at retail. I am SO glad I jumped on one once this fw was announced!
