How Do I Put My Drive In B Mode?

Im trying out Birdy and but i dont know what to do when it says "Ensure drive is in mode b either by two wire trick or slax linux boot cd"

Any help?

I got a Hitachi-LG dvd drive in the xbox360, got a sata cable connected from the xbox360 to the pc.

And boot up the slax linux boot cd (in the dvd drive of the pc) then i get at a screen where i need to login, you can choose noobly login with: login: root
password: toor

Then i`m in the linux OS windows look a like kinda thing, but how to put the dvd drive of the xbox360 into mode B.

And howto start up Windows XP when I`m in the linux OS, cause I need to go to windows XP to start up the flasher programm to flash the xbox360 dvd drive right?

Have you tried the Tutorial & Guides section ?!?  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)   There are plenty of walkthorughs there!

I used Geebee's Guide to aid me in flashing my FW  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
