Guys,
For those of you asking about the address ranges..... I flashed mine using the $4000-$4400 range and got the red light and E65 message on the 360. I then used HexWorkshop and put the key in the $4000-$4200 range, flashed again and hey presto it works fine!
I've got a Sammy M25 and an NForce4 chipset.
I am having one problem though:- neither using the old 0800 firmware or the 0800 DVD Image (on DVD+R DL Media) and the v2 of the firmware can I get Windows to recognise the drive. Windows now hangs on startup but eventually does go into Windows - but no sign of the Sammy drive. I boot the XBOX360 first with the 0800 Disc in the drive, wait a few seconds for the drive to stop reading the disc, connect up the SATA cable to the PC and then power on.
Anyone having this same issue? Can I discount it's the NForce4 chipset? I've turned off the NForce4 RAID and the only device connected is the Sammy. It's on the 4th Primary Master. (MTKFlash works no problem in this config).
Sudo911.
I have a ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe (NF4) and in 0800 mode (Xtreme2.0) i cannot use the NF4 SATA ports, i plug into the Silicon Image SATA ports and all is ok (no windows hang, drive reconized in windows). However i use the NF4 SATA ports to flash the drive. (MTKFlash for NF4). I think this has to do with Forceware drivers.
As for the hex range, the 4000-4400 should be ok as where your key ends it should be all FF's anyway upto 4400 so u must of made an error when you first did the paste.
To Siovio, yes you can rip any game from any region and get ss.bin, its just loading the game that the region checks kick in.
Cheers...
