Xtreme firmware v2.0 for Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943
« Reply #60 on: July 16, 2006, 04:56:00 AM »

Hi I have a question about dump SS.bin

I have two Xbox 360. One is Japanese version with Hitachi 47D DVD-Rom. The other one is US version with TS DVD-Rom. I am going to flash Xtreme20.bin to my US version TS rom. But here is my question. Can I use my TS rom to get ss.bin from an original Japan import game? Anyone know? Thanks for help.

Guys,

For those of you asking about the address ranges..... I flashed mine using the $4000-$4400 range and got the red light and E65 message on the 360. I then used HexWorkshop and put the key in the $4000-$4200 range, flashed again and hey presto it works fine!

I've got a Sammy M25 and an NForce4 chipset.

I am having one problem though:- neither using the old 0800 firmware or the 0800 DVD Image (on DVD+R DL Media) and the v2 of the firmware can I get Windows to recognise the drive. Windows now hangs on startup but eventually does go into Windows - but no sign of the Sammy drive. I boot the XBOX360 first with the 0800 Disc in the drive, wait a few seconds for the drive to stop reading the disc, connect up the SATA cable to the PC and then power on.

Anyone having this same issue? Can I discount it's the NForce4 chipset? I've turned off the NForce4 RAID and the only device connected is the Sammy. It's on the 4th Primary Master. (MTKFlash works no problem in this config).

Sudo911.

I have a ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe (NF4) and in 0800 mode (Xtreme2.0) i cannot use the NF4 SATA ports, i plug into the Silicon Image SATA ports and all is ok (no windows hang, drive reconized in windows). However i use the NF4 SATA ports to flash the drive. (MTKFlash for NF4). I think this has to do with Forceware drivers.

As for the hex range, the 4000-4400 should be ok as where your key ends it should be all FF's anyway upto 4400 so u must of made an error when you first did the paste.

To Siovio, yes you can rip any game from any region and get ss.bin, its just loading the game that the region checks kick in.
Cheers...

* Creating a game backup
Drive is still in 0800 mode.
Extract Isobuilder.rar
Insert original game disk into drive and wait for windows to detect disk change
Run DVDinfoPro
Enter the following custom cdb command to unlock drive: (game data visable)
FF 08 01 01

Is this a new command for the v2.0 Xtreme firmware??

Yes, you do have to use a DL for enable0800.  I tried +R and -R single layer and they didn't work.  No, the command "FF 08 01 01" isn't new.  It was used in the previous version.

OK... just did not see any mention in geebee's guide to it before.

FORGOT to mention that...  I was wondering the same till I just did it....
YES !!! would appear so!!  Tried it on a DVD+R and NO joy !!!   Bit of a waste of a disc but beats flashing back all the freaking time!!!

I got the firmware edited and flashed.

Now I'm trying to burn the Enable0800 ISO in NERO and it won't let me burn it to a DVD+R DL. It keeps saying that the ISO wasn't set up to be burned on anything other then a CD-R/RW. (it is a memorex DVD-/+RW DL 16x external burner)

All I'm doing is opening NERO smart start, clicking burn disk image, selecting the image and picking a burner.

Am I supposed to change some settings with the file or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Mad Props to C4E for this build.
Can't wait for Stealth build. You're a legend dude.

I have a pci sata raid with VIA 6421L.
For those of you who could flash xtreme20 but couldn't get the drive to appear in windows, here is what worked for me:

Boot PC to WinXP.
Boot Xbox 360 with Enable0800 Disk (DVD+R DL).

If drive is not recognized:
Go to Device manager,
Disable your card (with 360 still on)
Then enable your card (with 360 still on)
The hotswap message should now come up,
and your 360 drive should appear in windows.

Then, RIP IT baby!

I tried flashing 2.0 and it seemed to flash ok, but after i restarted the computer i noticed on the 360 the eject button was no longer working and so i cant inster my 0800 iso disk in. Also windows is freezing all of a sudden.

Gone back to 1.0 for now since it works fine untill i can get this fixed.

any ideas anyone?
