flashed first time with KDX modded 2.0, only read the warning after doing so (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

had to reopen the 360 and flash again with manual edit, working flawlessly now.

superb.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pop.gif)

Hello !!!
Not ok for me, the eject is not possible and the xbox 360 red light .
Patched it manualy with ultra edit 32.
When i re-flash with my ORIG.bin , it 's ok .
When i reflash with old Xtreme Firmware Proper ,it's ok
my samsung is MS25 .
 thancks for your suggestions

"Proper"...tha'ts your problem.  Using KDX messes with the fw.  It shortens the code somehow.  It's not compatible with 2.0...go manual.  I'm sure you've already read this, but just in case.

Can confirm this works.  Just got finished.  To clarify I copied $4000-$4200 and not $4000-$4400 even though it may not matter since it looks like it is all FFs anyway.

Thanks a bunch C4E.  Sorry about your pops. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I just flashed my xbox360 with this firmware, and now halo 2 has no more loading map problems like the first version of the firmware did, also it seems like its having a easy time reading backups now too. I never thought this would help, but my xbox is running alot more smoothly now. Its weird but now my xbox is perfect.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)  Thanks man.

Absolutely bloody marvelous release..  Works great...  Thanks... Keep up the GREAT!!!! work.   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pop.gif)

With that said. Used a tutorial to back up, working fine so far no problems.
Can't link it search down at moment but look for....  "Guide to Extracting Security Sec" in pinned tutorials.
It uses CloneCD, Isobuster, DVDInfo Pro.
Burning on Verbatim 2.4x  media code MKM001 boot like originals in dash.
Burner Pioneer DVR111D (cross flashed to a DVR111L with TDB 8.19 INT firmware) a later release out now may try it soon.

Cheers.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

YES !!! would appear so!!  Tried it on a DVD+R and NO joy !!!   Bit of a waste of a disc but beats flashing back all the freaking time!!!

If only $4000-$4200 (512 bytes from $4000 to $41FF to be precise) is all that's required, X360SAM will still do the job in DOS.  Saves you having to hexedit the file.

What I did was just open the 2.0 firmware in Hex Workshop and patched it at the hex addresses that GaryOPA has said needs to be patched for the 2.0 firmware to work with KDX 1.5. This allows the 2.0 firmware to be used fine with KDX 1.5 (just like the way xtreme_proper.bin worked with KDX 1.5, but xtreme.bin didn't).

Once I patched it in Hex Workshop I opened it up with KDX 1.5 and injected (or pasted) my key and then flashed it to my 360 and tried my backups and it works fine.

So now I've got a 2.0 firmware with a blanked out drive key that's been patched to work with KDX 1.5 (in case I ever need to do another Samsung drive), and I've got one that I've already injected my key into.

So you can get the 2.0 firmware to work with KDX 1.5 as long as it has been patched to work with it.

Guys,

For those of you asking about the address ranges..... I flashed mine using the $4000-$4400 range and got the red light and E65 message on the 360. I then used HexWorkshop and put the key in the $4000-$4200 range, flashed again and hey presto it works fine!

I've got a Sammy M25 and an NForce4 chipset.

I am having one problem though:- neither using the old 0800 firmware or the 0800 DVD Image (on DVD+R DL Media) and the v2 of the firmware can I get Windows to recognise the drive. Windows now hangs on startup but eventually does go into Windows - but no sign of the Sammy drive. I boot the XBOX360 first with the 0800 Disc in the drive, wait a few seconds for the drive to stop reading the disc, connect up the SATA cable to the PC and then power on.

Anyone having this same issue? Can I discount it's the NForce4 chipset? I've turned off the NForce4 RAID and the only device connected is the Sammy. It's on the 4th Primary Master. (MTKFlash works no problem in this config).

Sudo911.
