Xtreme firmware v2.0 for Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943
« Reply #15 on: July 14, 2006, 08:33:00 AM »

Argh did you read the info or what?   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

 Technical details
Firmware now also checks for Enable0800 security sector @ PSN 04FB1F and if found, enables 0800 mode of firmware.
ISO image Enable0800.iso included. Just burn and insert into drive when you wish to extract security sectors or dump games.
0800 mode of firmware deactivated by inserting game backup (Xbox 360 or Xbox 1) or DVD movie or turning off console

***  You don't reflash to make back ups..   Insert the Enable0800 disc which you burn from the image supplied. When that is read it changes to 0800 mode and you extract/dump games...

Can't wait for the Hitachi version!

smair1984, the stealth feature would make it so if MS tried to read-out/dump the firmware in a future dashboard release/game, it would read back as unmodified. I also remember something about making the TOC look like original as it is different on an original vs. backup.

Hey Commodore4eva, my condolences to your father - an amazing thing he did for you to go into debt to get you your first computer. C64 was amazing and i still have one too working in the attic (along with a c-16, and even a vic20). Hope you're all good, and its cool you still battled on with this firmware! Hope it works for people - ive been following your work but I don't own an X360, but really admire your contribution to the scene! Wish i could but i don't have any software expertees (nothing that can touch the capabilities of yourself and everyone else who churns out amazing stuff for the platforms).

Anywayz, take care. You have an amazing father if he was willing to go into debt to see that you would get a leap in this world!

Props Commodore4eva.  I haven't done the FW hack yet because of the initial complexities involved, but your work gets more and more appealing.  Sorry for your loss.

You're the man dude. You are officially a legend in the xbox 360 modification community. Again like everyone else, sorry about your father.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pop.gif)

WARNING: Do not use "Xtreme2.0" with KDX v1.5
================================

KDX v1.5 is NOT compatible with the original "c4e"
release of Xtreme v2.0 or with his earlier v1.1.

The authors of KDX v1.5 released a Proper-Patch
for the v1.1, and it should work on v2.0 but I have
not personally tested it, to see if it is compatible.

There is no "proper" release yet for Xtreme2.0, as such
please don't use the Xtreme2.0 with KDX v1.5, you must
only manually copy your key by using a HEX editor.

For the "hackers" out there, in the original "c4e"
releases of Xtreme v2.0, all the >4000 area is
filled with >FF, and KDX v1.5 does not like that.

The Xtreme v2.0 bin needs to be patched like so,
replacing the strings of >FF with the following HEX,
to be compatible with the KDX v1.5 program:

At address >4000 = 01 11 11 11 11
At address >4015 = 02 EE EE EE EE
At address >401A = 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

Many thanks to "c4e" for his great release.

does the enable800 have to be on a dual layer disk?

I haven't personally tried it, but by looking at the readme:

"Reads Xbox 360 security sector from PSN 04FB1F (Layer 0)"

It says the security sector for enable800 is on the first layer at 04fb1f, therefore it should work when burned on a single layer DVD.

KDX does NOT work with this. You have to manualy insert your drive key via Hexworkshop.

Just a quick question,

What type of media does Enable0800 need to be burned onto?

Can it be just a regular CD+R? Or would it have to be the DVD+R DL?

Thanks.

Is this right or should it be $4000-4200???

TIA!!!

ya know... I was wondering the same thing...... I'm going to go with the 4000 to 4200,  I think the 4000 to 4400 might be a mistake....
